The set opens with the skyline at sunset, from above and in silhouette, then goes out onto the lake: the harbor lighthouse under a pink sky and again at dusk, and the towers lighting up across the water. This is the view you only get on a cruise that passes the lock.

Then comes full dark, with the Ferris wheel on the pier and fireworks over the lakefront. It ends on the river itself, where every cruise starts: the canyon of towers, the bridges, one of them raised, and the white clock tower by the Michigan Avenue Bridge.
